\nVIM is involved in initiatives to consolidate transport flows, helping to reduce kilometers, CO\u2082 emissions, and transport costs. Individual stores receive many deliveries daily from various suppliers. Each supplier organizes its transport separately, resulting in many trucks on the road that are not fully loaded. Our logistics partner, Greenway Logistics<\/a>, has developed an innovative solution to make this process more efficient: ‘Bundling at the Source’. This allows multiple suppliers in the same country to collaborate on logistics by combining their quantities. These shipments are prepared and sorted for transport to individual stores. We successfully tested this concept in the Dutch fashion industry. The results: cost reductions of up to 50%, lower CO\u2082 emissions, and better control over the entire supply chain. This unique concept has already found its way to Scandinavia, the Netherlands, and the UK, and hopefully soon to the rest of the world.<\/p>\n
\nShipping samples from factories to Europe is expensive and polluting. Both production and sales samples are often sent via express courier services. Our partner, Greenway Logistics, has developed a new process. In this process, we delay part of the samples and consolidate them into regular airfreight shipments. This approach manages shipments more intelligently and reduces costs and environmental impact.<\/p>\n
